LONDON — Egyptian star Mohamed Salah made his final appearance for Liverpool FC on Sunday as the Reds drew 1-1 with Brentford FC in the 38th and final round of the English Premier League season at Anfield.
Salah had earlier announced that he would leave Liverpool at the end of the current season, bringing to a close a glittering nine-year spell with the club marked by multiple titles and individual records.

The Egyptian forward capped his farewell appearance by providing the assist for Curtis Jones’ opener in the 58th minute, raising his Premier League assist tally for Liverpool to 93 and surpassing former club captain Steven Gerrard as the club’s all-time leading assist provider in the competition.
Brentford equalised six minutes later through Kevin Schade before Salah received an emotional ovation from Liverpool supporters when he was substituted in the 73rd minute.
Liverpool finished the Premier League campaign in fifth place with 60 points, while Brentford ended the season ninth on 53 points.
