Egypt’s Ministry of Transport announced a 50% discount on full-fare tickets for passengers using the first phase of the East Nile Monorail.
The discounted fares will take effect starting Friday, May 15. They will apply every Friday and Saturday, as well as on official holidays, for a period of three months.
The move aims to encourage citizens to visit the New Administrative Capital, explore its modern landmarks, and enjoy its urban development, the Ministry of Transport said a press statement on Thursday.
The initiative will also help reduce traffic congestion, save travel time, and improve the passenger experience through a modern transportation system.
The ministry stressed that the discounts come alongside continued efforts to provide high-quality services for passengers through modern trains and 16 fully equipped stations serving commuters.
