Minister of Communications and Information Technology Raafat Hindi has affirmed the ministry’s ongoing co-operation with Huawei across a range of strategic fields.
During a meeting on Sunday CEO of Huawei’s ICT Business Group, Yang Chaobin, the minister highlighted the continued partnership with the company in digital capacity building and skills development.
For his part, Huawei’s Chaobin reaffirmed the company’s commitment to bringing the latest technologies to the Egyptian market.
He also voiced Huawei’s hopes to further expand co-operation and explore new opportunities for joint collaboration.
The two sides discussed avenues for enhancing co-operation in telecommunications, digital skills development, advanced technologies, and cloud computing.
They also reviewed prospects for co-operation in implementing projects aimed at developing digital solutions, in addition to supporting Egypt’s transition toward cloud computing technologies.
Discussions covered ongoing collaboration with Huawei in the field of digital capacity building through programmes jointly delivered with the Information Technology Institute and the National Telecommunication Institute to equip young people with advanced digital skills across a broad range of technological specialisations.
