Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Co-operation and Egyptian Expatriates, Badr Abdel-Aati, discussed in a phone call with his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the rapidly evolving regional developments and joint efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions in the region.
The Qatari top diplomat briefed Abdel-Aati on his recent meetings with senior officials in Washington, specifically regarding the US-Iran negotiation track.
Both ministers emphasized that diplomacy is the only viable path to resolving the crisis. They urged all parties to act with restraint and reaffirmed that regional stability depends on political solutions that prioritize the interests of the region’s people.
