Means to further enhance economic ties with Belarus were at the core of talks held by the visiting Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Mohamed Farid Saleh, and Belarusian Minister of Trade and Antimonopoly Regulation, Artur Karpovich.

Saleh is visiting Minsk to lead his country’s delegation to theEgyptian-Belarusian Joint Committee. 

The talks between the to ministes focused on boosting direct communication between business communities and creating a supportive environment for sustainable industrial partnerships.  

Saleh emphasised Egypt’s commitment to empowering the private sector as the main driver of economic growth. 

He also highlighted the importance of establishing effective channels between Egyptian and Belarusian companies to accelerate cooperation and turn opportunities into real investments. He also announced plans to hold regular joint business forums in both countries, offering platforms to showcase opportunities and build direct partnerships.  

The minister pointed to strong prospects in manufacturing and assembling heavy equipment such as tractors, trucks, and buses. He noted Egypt’s competitive advantages, including modern infrastructure, equipped industrial zones, and attractive investment incentives.  

For his part, Karpovich referred to Egypt as a strategic partner and a vital gateway to African and Middle Eastern markets. He stressed Belarus’s interest in expanding institutional cooperation through joint business councils and economic forums, aiming to remove barriers for investors and promote industrial partnerships based on technology transfer and expertise exchange.  

The meeting reveald mutual determination to deepen economic ties and transform shared opportunities into long-term investments.
