President Abdel Fattah El Sisi reiterated on Thursday Egypt’s solidarity with the UAE amid the current regional circumstances.

He also stressed Cairo’s full support for the UAE’s security and stability and its categorical rejection of Iran’s attacks on the country’s sovereignty, affirming that “any harm to the UAE is harm to Egypt.”

Such attacks constitute a blatant violation of the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, as well as a dangerous escalation threatening the security and stability of the region and the world as a whole, Sisi said.

President Sisi made these remarks during a fraternal visit he paid to the United Arab Emirates, where he met with the UAE’s President, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

He further underlined the importance of intensifying efforts to resolve the current crisis through dialogue and diplomatic channels.President Sisi was received upon arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport by UAE President Sheikh ben Zayed.

Egypt’s Ambassador to the UAE Essam Ashour, and members of the Egyptian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, were present during the reception ceremony.

According to the Presidency Spokesman Mohamed El-Shennawy, the two leaders held a bilateral meeting at a working lunch hosted in honour of President Sisi.Welcoming President Sisi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed lauded the solid fraternal relations binding the two countries and their peoples.

President Sisi, in turn, appreciated the warm reception and hospitality, reaffirming the deep-rooted and historical ties between Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.

The discussions also covered ways to further strengthen bilateral relations between Egypt and the UAE across various fields, particularly trade and investment, as well as enhancing coordination and consultation on regional developments in a manner that preserves the sovereignty and stability of states and supports the welfare of their peoples.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, accompanied President Sisi to Abu Dhabi International Airport where he bid him farewell.
