Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher inspected one of the Armed Forces’ basic training units for new recruits to review the system for preparing and qualifying newly enlisted soldiers.

The visit was attended by Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, along with a number of senior military commanders.

During the tour, the Commander-in-Chief was briefed on the unit and its recent development efforts. He also inspected the educational process, administrative conditions, and training system.

General Zaher also met with a number of soldiers, conveying to them the greetings of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

He stressed the Armed Forces’ commitment to supporting the recruits, providing all necessary resources to ensure their scientific, physical, and moral readiness to shoulder the responsibility of defending the nation and safeguarding its sanctities, in line with advanced training systems.

He urged them to enhance their awareness and remain informed about surrounding developments.

He underscored the need to guard against rapidly evolving information warfare that threatens national security, and to engage responsibly with social media at all levels.

He also called on them to maintain high standards, self-confidence, and adherence to the core values and traditions of the Egyptian military.
