Türkiye’s foreign minister, Hakan Fidan, said on Saturday that a ministerial-level summit on Gaza to be held on the sidelines of the upcoming Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF).
The meeting will include representatives from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan, Pakistan, and Indonesia.
These nations, all members of the Peace Council, previously engaged in high-level discussions with US President Donald Trump in New York in September 2025.
The meeting is expected to focus on maintaining the Palestinian issue at the forefront of the international agenda and ensuring that a ceasefire on the ground in Gaza becomes permanent.
Discussions will also address the need for Palestinian governance of the Gaza Strip and the swift implementation of security arrangements, alongside launching urgent reconstruction efforts.
Ministers are also set to examine prospects for advancing the second phase of the peace plan, which could help ease regional tensions. The talks will highlight concerns over Israeli actions seen as undermining the process, including continued violations and non-compliance with earlier commitments.
Participants are expected to exchange views on joint steps within the Peace Council framework and reiterate rejecting any practices that deepen divisions in the West Bank or alter the historical and legal status of holy sites, including Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The meeting will also tackle broader regional developments, including US-Iran negotiations, efforts to end ongoing conflicts, and the situation in Lebanon, with an emphasis on reducing escalation and restoring stability.
