Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Badr Abdel-Aati, has left for Washington, where he will have talks with US senior officials, foremost among them Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Congress members.
The visit aims at probing ways to further consolidate the Egyptian-American strategic partnership and to exchange views on the latest regional developments, the Foreign Ministry said that in a statement on Tuesday.
The Egyptian top diplomat also participate in the Annual and Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG), April 13- 18 in the IMF and World Bank Group headquarters, in Washington, D.C, in his capacity as Egypt’s Governor at the World Bank.
This is part of the efforts to enhance co-operation with international financial institutions and consulting on global economic developments in a way that supports national economic priorities.
