Egypt has expressed its sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to Qatar and Türkiye over the victims of a helicopter crash in Qatari regional waters, which left in a number of casualties from both countries.

Egypt extended its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and their loved ones, praying that God grants them patience and solace, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Sunday.

Cairo also affirms its solidarity with the sisterly State of Qatar and the Republic of Türkiye in this painful circumstance and its support for the governments and peoples of both countries.

Qatar’s Ministry of Interior announced today that search and rescue operations for the missing persons following the helicopter crash in the state’s territorial waters, search efforts have resulted in finding six out of seven who were on board.

The martyrdom of those who were found has been confirmed, while specialised teams continue their intensive operations to find the last missing person, the Qatari News Agency (QNA) reported.
