Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli chaired the government’s weekly meeting on Wednesday at the New Administrative Capital. He began by extending greetings to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Egyptian people, and members of the cabinet on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, wishing continued peace and prosperity for the nation.

Madbouli directed all state agencies to maintain maximum readiness during the holiday period, especially with forecasts of rain and possible floods in some regions. He stressed strict market monitoring to ensure the availability of essential goods, prevent price manipulation, and confront any attempts to hide products for profit. He also ordered firm action against illegal construction, encroachment on state property, or building on agricultural land, with crisis rooms activated across ministries and governorates.

The Prime Minister highlighted recent presidential activities, including Sisi’s phone calls with Arab and Gulf leaders to affirm Egypt’s support amid regional tensions, and his meeting with the Foreign Minister to review diplomatic efforts. He noted the President’s emphasis on Egypt’s role as a messenger of peace.

Madbouli also referred to Sisi’s follow-up on development projects such as upgrading Damietta Port, expanding the Cairo ring road, and maintaining the October 6 Bridge. He concluded by stressing the government’s ongoing crisis management meetings to address the economic and energy impacts of regional escalation.
