Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Abdelaziz Konsowa extended his heartfelt congratulations to Egyptian innovators and researchers following their remarkable success at the 51st International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva 2026.

The Egyptian delegation achieved a total of five international medals, two gold, two silver, and one bronze, amid fierce global competition, with thousands of inventions showcased from around the world. The delegation’s participation was supported by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT).

Konsowa expressed pride in the achievement, noting that the researchers’ success at such a prestigious international forum reflects the state’s strategy of fostering innovation and investing in the nation’s creative minds.

Acting President of ASRT, Dr Gina El Feki, emphasised that the achievement highlights the Academy’s continued commitment to supporting Egyptian innovators, enabling them to showcase their inventions internationally and transform scientific research into competitive technological applications.

The gold medals were awarded to Dr Rabie Younis Abdel Fattah Hassan from Zewail City of Science and Technology for his “Cancer Diagnosis Platform Using Nanosensor Chips”, and Dr Manar Yehia Ismail Abdelaziz from the National Research Centre for her “Textile Rods for Reinforcing Concrete Applications.” Silver medals went to Dr Eman Salah El-Din El-Mahlawy from Cairo University for her “Innovative Method for Producing Deep Draw Steel”, and Engineer Mohamed Al-Moatasem Mohamed Bahaa El-Din from Protein Company for the “Orion AI-Powered Biomanufacturing System.” The bronze medal was awarded to Dr Tarek Mohamed El-Bashir from the National Institute of Standards for his “Miniature Acoustic Reverberation Chamber for Industrial Measurements.”
