The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has launched a new initiative titled “Digital Citizenship and Online Protection”.
The initiative is aimed at boosting digital awareness among Egyptian citizens and promoting safer internet use.
It seeks to expand public understanding of digital citizenship, its core principles and practical applications, while highlighting successful international and local experiences in the field. It also aims to raise societal awareness of cyber risks and online threats.
In addition, the programme focuses on building partnerships with national and international stakeholders to exchange expertise and adopt best practices in promoting responsible digital behaviour.
As part of the initiative, the ministry introduced a new online platform, Wa3i.net, designed as a community knowledge hub offering specialised Arabic-language content tailored to target groups.
The platform provides resources for children, teenagers, teachers, and parents, helping them better understand responsible technology use and safe online practices.
Through these efforts, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology hopes to foster a culture of responsible technology use while equipping citizens with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the digital world safely and confidently.
The platform can be accessed through the following link: Wa3i.net.
