The ninth edition of the Egypt International Petroleum Conference and Exhibition (EGYPS 2026) is scheduled to take place from March 30 to April 1, 2026, under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

The Supreme Committee for the Egypt International Petroleum Conference and Exhibition (EGYPS 2026) held its second meeting on Wednesday, under the chairmanship of Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi, to review

preparations for the ninth edition of the event.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Petroleum on Wednesday, the conference is the region’s premier energy event for North Africa and the Mediterranean, featuring high-level participation from energy ministers, leaders of international organizations, and major global energy and technology companies.

The minister highlighted that EGYPS 2026 represents a key opportunity to present a comprehensive vision reflecting Egypt’s position as an attractive and stable investment destination, reinforcing regional and international partnerships in the energy sector.

He added that the event will bring together senior officials, CEOs of global companies, and energy investors on a prominent dialogue platform.

He further noted that one of the main objectives of the ninth edition is to strengthen integration between the public and private sectors.

The event will also showcase the latest innovations and digital technologies in energy, including applications of artificial intelligence, hydrogen, and renewable energy. It also aims to empower youth and prepare the next generation of sector leaders.

EGYPS 2026 is expected to attract more than 50,000 participants from around the world, including approximately 50 international and national energy and technology companies, and over 350 keynote speakers across 96 specialized sessions.

The committee also reviewed preparations for various events during the ninth edition, led by the strategic conference comprising 11 specialized programs and 40 sessions over three days.

Topics will cover global energy markets, offshore activities, refining and petrochemicals, emerging African energy markets, renewable energy, liquefied natural gas, power generation, technology, artificial intelligence, hydrogen, and investment and finance.

The program will also include roundtable sessions for industry leaders on the strategic role of natural gas and LNG, maximizing integrated industrial value, reshaping global energy trade, and empowering young talent.

The technical conference will feature 54 sessions presenting and discussing leading research papers and studies in the energy sector.

The exhibition will host 550 participating companies, 13 national pavilions, and more than 50 national and international institutions and companies in energy, technology, and engineering.

Government finance institutions will also participate in the exhibition.

New activities to be launched at EGYPS 2026 include the Innovation and Artificial Intelligence Zone, a first-of-its-kind platform showcasing digital solutions and advanced applications.

The Young Professionals program will support the next generation of sector leaders.

Two innovation and technology competitions will be held for start-ups and established companies.

The annual EGYPS awards will recognize excellence in Egypt’s energy sector.
