CAIRO — Egypt’s Pyramids FC edged closer to the CAF Champions League quarter-finals with a commanding 3-0 win over Morocco’s RS Berkane on Sunday night at Cairo’s Air Defense Stadium in Group A’s fourth-round clash of the 2025–2026 season.

The emphatic win sent Pyramids FC to the top of Group A with 10 points, ahead of RS Berkane (7), Zambia’s Power Dynamos (4), and Nigeria’s Rivers United (1).
The Egyptian side needs only one point from their remaining two group fixtures to confirm a spot in the last eight.
The Sky Blues were inspired by a standout performance from winger Mahmoud Abdel Hafiz “Zalaka”, who played a decisive role in all three goals. He opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a powerful header, converting a pinpoint cross from the left by Nasser Maher.
Playmaker Maher then doubled the lead in the 74th minute, netting his first goal for Pyramids after a swift counter-attack initiated by Zalaka.

Substitute Ahmed Atef “Qatta” sealed the victory in the 80th minute with a composed left-footed finish from inside the penalty area.
RS Berkane attempted to respond in the first half but struggled to breach a well-organised Pyramids FC defense. The hosts maintained full control after the break, producing a dominant display that underlined their authority in Group A.
Elsewhere in the group A, Power Dynamos claimed a crucial 1-0 away victory over Rivers United at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
