Adel added that co-operation with Abu Dhabi aviation and Emirati companies, such as AMMROC and GAL represents a tangible addition to EgyptAir’s development plan.

He explained that this collaboration effectively contributes to enhancing operational and technical capabilities and serves the shared interests of the two countries.

This came during Ahmed Adel’s reception of a high-level delegation from the Abu Dhabi Aviation Group and several specialised Emirati companies in aviation, maintenance, cargo, and training, led by Mahmoud Al Hamli, CEO of the Abu Dhabi Aviation Group, at EgyptAir’s administrative headquarters in Cairo.

The Emirati delegation included Yasser Saeed Al Feleity, Director of Government Affairs – Abu Dhabi Aviation, and Mohamed Reda, Vice-President of Strategy and International Relations – Abu Dhabi Aviation.

From EgyptAir, the meeting was attended by Pilot Sherif Khalil, Assistant Chairman of EgyptAir Holding, Engineer Ibrahim Fathy, CEO of EgyptAir Maintenance & Engineering Company, Pilot Ihab El Tahtawy, CEO of EgyptAir Cargo, and Pilot Walid Suleiman, Head of EgyptAir Training Academy.

The meeting continued discussions that had started in Abu Dhabi recently, following the signing of several memoranda of understanding in Abu Dhabi aimed at enhancing co-operation in several key areas.

These include air cargo services, developing logistics capabilities, expanding regional presence, launching new cargo routes, improving operational efficiency through knowledge and expertise exchange in aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), strengthening regional supply chains, and supplying spare parts to airports and airlines.

The parties also discussed the possibility of establishing a regional spare parts hub in Egypt to serve local, regional, and international markets. Additionally, they explored strengthening co-operation in training activities between the EgyptAir Training Academy and the Abu Dhabi Aviation Training Centre through training programmes, technical staff development, and expertise exchange.
