In the Women’s Kumite events, Menna Shaaban earned her spot in the final eight after a series of decisive victories against competitors from Croatia (7-5), Germany (6-2), and Nepal (2-2).

Her teammate, Hadeer Hendy, also qualified for the quarterfinals of the Women’s Kumite Under 68kg category, achieving wins over athletes from Ukraine (1-1), North Macedonia (10-0), the United States (4-3), and Japan (3-0).

The men’s team also saw success, with two athletes advancing to the quarterfinals. Youssef Badawy progressed in the Kumite Under 84kg category, while Mostafa Elghobashy secured his berth in the Kata discipline.

These four athletes join the four who had already qualified for the quarterfinals on the first day of the championship: Aya Hisham, Abdalla Mamdouh, Ahlam Hamdy, and Reem Ramzy, setting the stage for a strong Egyptian challenge in the medal rounds.
