Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar discussed Monday with Assistant Secretary-General for Institutional Affairs at the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties Hussein bin Abdullah Al-Turki ways to strengthen cooperation in the field of professional medical education during a meeting held at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
The deputy prime minister praised Saudi Arabia’s interest in advancing professional medical education, inviting the Saudi delegation to visit a number of leading Egyptian training centers to get acquainted Egypt’s expertise in this field.
Official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health Hossam Abdel Ghaffar explained that the meeting addressed Egypt’s experience in continued professional development and veterinary medicine licensure examinations under the “One Health” approach.
The two sides also discussed unifying certificate titles and mutually recognizing accredited training hours to facilitate the practice of medical professionals in both countries, in addition to cooperation in scientific programs and trainer exchanges to maximize the benefits of shared expertise, the spokesman said.
