The East Canal Anti-Terrorism Command hosted a delegation of tribal sheikhs, elders, security officials, and civil society representatives from North and South Sinai as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen communication with local communities.
The visit began with a moment of silence in honour of the nation’s martyrs.
Major General Hesham Fathi Shendi, Commander of the East Canal Anti-Terrorism Command, conveyed the greetings of General Abdel Mageed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production, and Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces.
He affirmed the Armed Forces’ commitment to supporting the people of Sinai and co-operating with state institutions to advance development projects across the region.
For their part, tribal representatives expressed their support for the Armed Forces’ efforts to enhance security and stability in Sinai. They highlighted the important role the military plays in defending the country and in contributing to development and service projects aimed at improving living conditions for citizens.
