Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly praised the continuous efforts of the cabinet’s Supreme Medical Committee and Emergencies and the efficiency of its work system, highlighting its clear keenness to monitor various medical emergency cases and promptly intervene in critical situations.

He directed to enhance the important role of the committee in providing diverse health services to citizens in all governorates and paying attention to cases requiring urgent intervention.

This came during Madbouly’s review of a report on the committee efforts throughout the past month of October. The report was prepared by Hossam el Masry, the medical advisor to the Cabinet and the head of the committee.

Masry explained in the report that the committee was keen last month to respond quickly to citizens according to the circumstances of each case. Its efforts included monitoring and responding to 1,247 emergency cases via WhatsApp, media outlets, and various social media platforms. These emergencies were handled optimally.

The committee head added that urgent and effective handling of the various emergency cases included issuing 252 decisions for treatment at the state’s expense by the Prime Minister.

The committee also provided medical procedures for 60 cases requiring Gamma Knife treatment during the past month and issued 44 special decisions regarding partially compatible bone marrow transplants.

Masry also noted that 52 emergency decisions were issued by the Prime Minister, in addition to supplying medicines for a total of 105 emergency cases throughout October.

The committee head reported that the committee’s efforts to provide medical care included fitting prosthetic limbs and assistive devices to 96 cases, with rehabilitation for their use during October.

Additionally, examinations were conducted on 2,388 citizens within the committee’s convoys in the Red Sea Governorate, in cooperation and coordination with the Egyptian Cure Bank Foundation.
