CAIRO – Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathi said the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) is a landmark achievement in the global museum landscape.
Speaking to Nile Radio, the minister underlined that the museum is the world’s largest dedicated to a single civilization.
He added that it is distinguished by its unique architectural design and innovative display methods, showcasing the grandeur of ancient Egyptian civilization in an unprecedented manner.
Fathi further noted that the museum’s role extends beyond exhibitions.
It also serves as a comprehensive scientific center, equipped with advanced facilities for archaeological research and artifact restoration, making it a hub of knowledge and a key destination for researchers and specialists from around the world, he said.
