The Israeli newspaper ‘The Jerusalem Post’ published an article titled ‘Egypt’s influence rises with hosting of peace summits,’ underscoring Egypt’s expanding role in the region following its organization of pivotal meetings in Sharm el-Sheikh that facilitated the Gaza peace agreement.

The article noted, “Egypt is also set to welcome US President Donald Trump on October 13, along with representatives from more than 20 countries. Egypt, along with Turkey, Qatar, and others, is already being commended for its key contributions to ending the Gaza conflict.”

The Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit is scheduled for Monday afternoon, co-chaired by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and US President Donald Trump.

Over twenty leaders from various nations are expected to participate.

The summit’s objectives are to put an end to the Gaza Strip conflict, bolster regional peace and stability, and usher in a new era of security across the Middle East. According to a statement from the Egyptian presidency on Sunday, this summit aligns with President Trump’s vision to secure peace in the region and reflects his continued efforts to resolve global disputes.

The summit agenda features a one-on-one meeting between President Sisi and President Trump, followed by a broader session with all attending leaders and heads of state.

A group photo of the summit participants will be taken, and both President Sisi and President Trump are scheduled to deliver formal remarks.

Leaders are also slated to hold bilateral discussions on the conference’s sidelines.
