Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of the St. Mark Diocese consecrated on Saturday the Church of Saint Mark the Apostle in Assiut, with the participation of 16 metropolitans and bishops.
The consecration prayers began with the main altar being consecrated in the name of Saint Mark the Apostle.
The icon of the “Bosom of the Father” (Pantocrator), along with other church icons, was also consecrated.
