The Ministry of Industry has invited serious investors to invest in 28 promising industrial sectors and investment opportunities identified by the ministry.
The goal is to attract investments that will help meet market needs and reduce the import bill, it added.
In a statement issued by the ministry Monday, it clarified that the foundations and criteria used to select these specific opportunities include: availability and cost of energy (gas, electricity, mazut, coal), average monthly wages for workers, technicians, and engineers, availability of raw materials and resources in Egypt, availability of production technology and required factories, local market demand for these industries, and leveraging Egypt’s geographic location for the distribution of industrial products.
The investment opportunities include solar energy components, such as (solar cells, storage batteries, solar tracking systems, inverters, smart monitoring software, traditional transparent solar panels, innovative printable panels, advanced energy storage technologies).
There are also vehicles and their components, including electric vehicles, car tires, various equipment such as engines, steering systems, suspension systems, brakes, glass, bodies for cars and buses, rotors, batteries for electric and gasoline-powered vehicles, lighting, electronics, and smart systems, added the statement.
The investment chances also include software and control systems for industrial operations, covering Artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions for industrial sectors, smart healthcare solutions, autonomous driving systems in vehicles, smart software for electronic devices, AI solutions in e-commerce).
Wind Energy Components are also included, such as (motors, turbines, inverters, support towers, transformers, control systems, batteries or storage systems, monitoring and maintenance devices).
Among the opportunities are desalination and treatment plant components, including (reverse osmosis membranes, pressure pumps, filtration systems, water tanks, electrical and control systems, chemical disinfection systems, power generators, monitoring and maintenance equipment, treated water quality control systems, filtration devices, strainers).
Infant formula, Aluminum industry opportunities, and electrical transformer industry are also included.
The chances also include medical and cosmetic products based on aromatic and medicinal plant cultivation, including (extraction of essential oils and natural extracts used in the manufacture of pharmaceutical and cosmetic products), according to the statement.
