EgyptAir Cargo successfully completed a landmark air cargo operation, transporting a sensitive shipment of live bees from Cairo International Airport (CAI) to Al Baha Airport (ABT) in Saudi Arabia.

This marks the first time Al Baha Airport has received a shipment of this nature and a wide-body cargo aircraft.

The company implemented stringent technical and logistical protocols, ensuring a continuous cold chain and adhering to all safety standards from the moment the bees were received at the Cairo Cargo Terminal until their safe arrival in Al Baha. The shipment arrived without any damage, demonstrating the meticulous planning and execution of the operation.

According to Pilot Ehab El Tahtawy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of EgyptAir Cargo, this achievement underscores the airline’s commitment to providing tailored cargo solutions for a wide range of industries, including agriculture.

He stated, “This success confirms EgyptAir’s ability to respond to the diverse needs of our customers. By providing specialized cargo solutions for sectors like agricultural products, we are actively supporting and enhancing trade relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.”

This operation not only sets a new precedent for Al Baha Airport but also solidifies EgyptAir Cargo’s position as a leader in delivering complex and sensitive cargo, reinforcing its role in facilitating essential trade between the two nations.
