EgyptAir Cargo has taken a significant step to enhance its safety and security protocols by destroying a large quantity of discarded goods and chemicals at the Cairo Cargo Complex.
This action is a central part of the company’s commitment to supporting the Egyptian state’s policy of upholding the highest safety standards and providing a secure working environment that aligns with international regulations.
This measure is a key component of EgyptAir Cargo’s broader strategy to enhance its safety and quality management systems. By safely and effectively disposing of these materials, the company has not only reduced potential risks to the lowest possible level but also optimised the use of valuable storage space, thereby boosting overall operational efficiency.

The destruction process was a coordinated effort, carried out in collaboration with several key governmental bodies, including the Egyptian Customs Authority, the General Organisation for Export and Import Control (GOEIC), Civil Defence, and Cairo Airport Police. The discarded goods were disposed of in a designated landfill in a manner consistent with safety and environmental requirements.
Pilot Ehab El-Tohtawy affirmed that this step reflects the Company dedication to keeping pace with state directives and adhering to global standards for safety and security.
The company continues to strengthen its position as a reliable national partner in supporting the air transport industry and developing the logistics services sector in Egypt.
