ABU DHABI – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s visit to the UAE stressed the necessity of adopting firm stances against terrorism and extremism, Khaleej Times said in its editorial, entitled “The World is on the Emirates’ Side”.
The summit grouping President Sisi and Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa al Khalifa, UAE Deputy President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al Nahyan demonstrated Arab and international solidarity with the UAE following cowardly missile attacks launched by the terrorist Houthi group on UAE facilities, which left civilians dead, the newspaper said.
The international community, governments, bodies and organizations rushed to issue denunciation statements expressing an unparalleled global consensus over standing by the UAE’s side and backing its legitimate right to defend its security and territorial integrity, it added.
Following this Houthi crime, the UAE has achieved many gains, the most important of which is being assured that the whole world sides with it and strongly supports its policies, it noted.
