CAIRO – Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan el-Khatib emphasised the importance of achieving integration between investment and foreign trade, as it contributes to enhancing the country’s economic growth.
Khatib’s remarks came during a meeting with Kim Yong-hyun, Ambassador of South Korea to Cairo, and his accompanying delegation on Wednesday.
The meeting offered an important opportunity for discussing ways of strengthening economic relations and exploring the potentials for increasing Korean investments in the Egyptian market, in addition to reviewing several topics of mutual interest.
Khatib highlighted the government’s commitment to attracting major Korean companies to invest in the Egyptian market.
Both sides affirmed that Egypt and South Korea share strong bilateral relations based on a long history of cooperation across various fields and levels.
They emphasised the importance of enhancing joint efforts to develop economic cooperation, particularly in trade and investment.
Khatib stated that the Egyptian market enjoys numerous distinctive investment advantages.
For his part, the South Korean ambassador praised Egypt’s efforts to boost exports and increase investments, highlighting the successes achieved by major Korean companies in the Egyptian market.
