CAIRO – Awqaf Minister Osama Azhari said the conference on “The Making of the Competent Mufti in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”, held in Cairo, is receiving great attention, considering the challenges and opportunities that artificial intelligence presents in the modern era.
He made the remarks during the 10th edition of the conference, organized by the Egyptian Dar Al Ifta and the General Secretariat For Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Azhari emphasized that the Palestinian cause remains the major cause of the Islamic world, noting that Egypt always stands firmly in defense of the rights of the Palestinian people, rejecting all attempts of displacement and injustice faced by the Palestinians.
He stressed Egypt’s firm rejection of attempts to liquidate the Palestinian cause, reaffirming the Egyptian national principles supporting the Palestinian right to establish an independent Palestinian state within the borders of 1967.
Meanwhile, Azhari expounded that adopting the slogan “wisdom” by the mufti was an invitation to adhere to ethical and rational values while navigating the world of artificial intelligence, making this ethical and intellectual framework the guiding principle for the future work of this advanced technology.
He pointed out that wisdom is one of the major Islamic legal concepts that should be the central focus when dealing with the age of artificial intelligence.
