Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdelatty asserted that the Egyptian government is keen on providing full support and care to Egyptians abroad and is committed to help them overcome any challenges they may face.
He added that this is achieved through continuous coordination with Egyptian diplomatic and consular missions, as well as relevant authorities within Egypt.
Abdelatty made the remarks during a meeting with members of the Egyptian community in Mali, at the beginning of his visit to Bamako, as part of his tour across several West African countries.
Abdelatty expressed appreciation for the Egyptian community in Mali, praising their valuable contributions to Malian society and their constructive role in strengthening the ties between Egypt and Mali across various sectors.
He outlined the ongoing efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigration to upgrade consular services for Egyptians abroad, particularly through digitizing procedures.
He also reviewed the initiatives launched by the ministry to serve Egyptians abroad, including offering privileges for getting housing units and agricultural lands as well as for joining Egyptian universities.
Abdelatty also listened to the comments and inquiries of the community members, assuring them that all their concerns and requests would be given due attention in line with the ministry’s commitment to addressing the needs of Egyptian expats.
