The Palestinian Hamas movement confirmed its full support for the position of the delegation participating in the indirect ceasefire negotiations with the Israeli occupation authorities.
In a statement on Friday, Hamas spokesman Abu Obeida emphasized the group’s full readiness to continue a prolonged battle of attrition against the occupation forces.
“We are closely watching the negotiations, and working to ensure that they lead to an agreement and a deal that guarantees an end to the ongoing war on the Palestinian people, the withdrawal of the occupation forces, and the entry of aid,” he said.
However, he warned that “if the enemy’s stubbornness persists in this round of negotiations as it was the case before, we will not be able to guarantee a return to partial agreements or proposals such as the ten-prisoner exchange deal.”
He revealed that since the Israeli occupation authorities resumed their aggression on Gaza four months ago, the group has killed and wounded hundreds of Israeli soldiers.
