During his visit to the Kuwaiti Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) headquarters, where he was received by Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Chairman of the DGCA, Minister el-Hefny expressed Egypt’s keen interest in expanding cooperation. Key areas identified for collaboration include specialized training programs, the transfer of expertise, and investment in the burgeoning airport sector.

Discussions between the delegations covered a wide range of topics, including enhancing air transport operations, increasing operating rates, and exchanging technical and administrative training expertise.

The meeting also featured a review of available investment opportunities within the Egyptian airport sector, which is expected to foster greater economic integration and support modernization efforts at both international and regional levels.

Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, for his part, lauded the visit as a testament to the strong strategic ties between Egypt and Kuwait.

He reiterated the Kuwaiti DGCA’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation across all technical, regulatory, and operational facets. Significantly, Sheikh Hamoud affirmed Kuwait’s unwavering support for Egypt in the upcoming International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) elections, stressing the importance of Arab solidarity in addressing global challenges and achieving sustainable growth within the aviation sector.

This visit marks a pivotal step towards deepening cooperation, providing essential technical and operational support, and refining coordination mechanisms across various civil aviation domains, ultimately boosting performance efficiency and preparing for future air traffic growth between Egypt and Kuwait.
