Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah El-Din Moustafa reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to attracting investments and fostering strategic partnerships across public and private sectors, as part of a broader drive to localise advanced manufacturing technologies and modernise production infrastructure.His remarks came during an inspection tour of Abu Qir Engineering Industries Company (Military Factory 10), where he reviewed progress on development initiatives and stressed the importance of continuous improvement and innovation within affiliated companies.“The ministry is actively working to enhance product quality, boost productivity, and strengthen its contribution to the national economy by adopting the latest industrial technologies,” Minister Moustafa said.During the visit, the minister held a meeting with Mohamed El-Kharashi, Board Chairman of the Abu Qir Engineering Industries Company. The two sides reviewed key performance indicators, production levels, sales figures, and ongoing project implementation. Minister Moustafa affirmed the value of on-the-ground monitoring to identify areas for operational enhancement and encouraged input from sector leaders, noting the ministry’s openness to economically viable projects and joint ventures.Following the meeting, the minister toured the facility’s workshops and production lines, commending the high technical standards and the skill level of engineers and workers. He praised the company’s alignment with global benchmarks and reiterated the ministry’s focus on workforce development, including training programmmes.During the inspection, he issued directives to optimise resource use, improve efficiency, and enforce quality standards. He also stressed strict adherence to project timelines and governance principles.Founded in 1954, Abu Qir Engineering Industries Company plays a dual role in meeting the operational needs of Egypt’s Armed Forces and supporting national development through civilian production.
