CAIRO – Dr. Ibrahim Eshmawy, first assistant Minister of Supply and Internal Trade received on Tuesday Isa Eskander, chairman of Egyptian Trade Union Federation in Italy and the regional director of the Italian confederation for economic development.
They discussed preparations related to the convocation of the Naples economic forum on February 25 through 27 which will be attended by representatives of Egyptian and Italian companies and senior officials from the two countries.
A statement issued by the Ministry on Tuesday said the Egyptian participation in the forum boosts relations between the two sides as the gathering would be a chance for major companies and investors from the two countries to display their services especially in the fields of logistics, food industries, malls and commercial chains.
He added the Egyptian participation would also help attract Italian companies to do business in Egypt and open new markets in co-operation with Egyptian investors.
For his part, Eskander described the gathering as a nucleus for activating the agreements signed by the two countries.
