Ibrahim Sarhan, Chairman of E-Finance for Financial and Digital Investments, affirmed that all services provided by the company and hosted on its private data centers remain fully operational and accessible to users across the country. He confirmed that these services continue to operate at their usual efficiency, unaffected by the recent fire incident at Ramses Central Exchange on Monday.
Sarhan clarified that any difficulties experienced in accessing some digital services in certain areas are primarily due to temporary disruptions in internet services provided by telecom operators. He assured that the platforms themselves are functioning optimally from the company’s side and that internet service restoration efforts are underway.
“In our commitment to ensuring uninterrupted service delivery,” Sarhan added, “we kindly urge users who may be experiencing access issues to consider temporarily using a SIM card from a different telecom provider until full stability is restored to local internet networks.”
He further emphasized that the Egyptian Government’s Digital Financial Network, with all its subsystems, continues to operate at full capacity. This includes critical sectors served by E-Finance such as agriculture, tourism, transportation, petroleum, and social support programs like Takaful and Karama.
Sarhan reiterated E-Finance’s commitment to closely monitoring the digital network infrastructure in real-time, in coordination with all relevant government bodies and sector stakeholders, to ensure the smooth and secure continuity of operations.
Regarding services offered in collaboration with banks and payment service providers, Sarhan confirmed that the company is working around the clock with the Ministry of Communications and collection service partners to restore services to normal as swiftly as possible, in close coordination with all banking institutions.
In closing, Sarhan praised the efforts of H.E. Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, stating:
“We greatly appreciate the exceptional and tireless efforts of the Ministry of Communications, which continues to operate with outstanding professionalism to ensure the stability and continuity of digital services in Egypt. At E-Finance, we remain fully prepared to work hand-in-hand with the Ministry to overcome this temporary situation safely and efficiently.”
