Egypt Minister of State for Military Production ,Mohamed Salaheldin Moustafa, reaffirmed Monday the ministry’s commitment to advancing military production systems and strengthening their operational capabilities.

The minister stressed the importance of adopting modern information systems and digital solutions to drive the digital transformation process in the ministry and its affiliated entities.

This approach aims to deliver optimal outcomes with maximum efficiency, minimizing time, effort, and cost, by leveraging advanced technological solutions as problem-solving tools in place of conventional methods.

During an unannounced inspection tour of TUYA Technology, formerly known as the Military Production Company for Information Systems, a company established by the Ministry of Military Production and specializing in information systems, digital transformation and business development, the minister reviewed the company’s operational workflow and inspected its latest laboratories, programming units, and advanced technologies in use.

Moustafa commenced his tour by visiting a number of departments affiliated to the the company, including the Systems Department.

This department manages critical platforms, such as the food subsidy system, the universal health insurance system, agricultural quarantine, agricultural holdings and the issuance of the Farmer’s Card, as well as the integration of systems for the Labor Ministry and the interconnection of natural gas fueling stations.

He also inspected the department responsible for networks, information systems, and cybersecurity.

During the tour, the minister listened to a presentation by Chairman of TUYA Technology for Information Systems and Digital Solutions, Yasser Abou Mandour, who outlined the company’s advancements in cybersecurity, network systems, and the integration of cutting-edge digital technologies.

These developments have significantly strengthened the company’s capacity to defend Military Production networks, successfully repelling thousands of cyberattacks on a daily basis, he further noted.

The minister also listened to the feedback and requests of several employees, encouraging them to intensify their efforts in enhancing network systems, expanding the implementation of projects, and adopting the latest software technologies to remain aligned with global technological advancements.

He instructed that all necessary measures be taken to overcome any obstacles hindering development and foster an enabling environment that supports the company in achieving its strategic objectives.

The minister further underlined the importance of offering specialized training programs for staff in the areas of cybersecurity and data protection.

TUYA Technology is recognized as one of Egypt’s leading institutions in the fields of software development and information technology.

The company has entered into cooperation protocols with various government ministries, including an agreement to implement a prepaid ticketing system for 1,800 buses operated by Cairo’s Public Transport Authority.

The company also signed a protocol with the Ministry of Supply to establish the Trade Information Center under the Internal Trade Development Authority.

TUYA Technology has been actively involved in several national digital transformation initiatives, most notably the automation of the food subsidy card system, the universal health insurance program, agricultural quarantine processes, agricultural holdings management, and the issuance of the Farmer’s Card.

The company has also contributed to the integration of network systems for the Ministry of Labor and the interconnection of natural gas fueling stations.
