Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli began a visit to Beheira Governorate on Saturday, where he inspected a comprehensive service convoy supported by the presidential initiative “Decent Life” in Zawyet Saqr village in Abu el Matamir district.

Madbouli was accompanied by Local Development Minister Manal Awad and Beheira Governor Jacqueline Azer.

The PM reviewed progress on the rural development program and several mobile service units, including medical, economic and vocational training services.

Azer presented an overview on the governorate where 7 million people live.

She added that the governorate is the first in the production of fruits, vegetables and citrus exports.

Projects are implemented by the initiative in 6 districts, covering 42 villages, Azer said.

Madbouli also visited the one-day market which offers basic food commodities at discounted prices, including rice, sugar, legumes, oil, fresh produce.

The convoy comes within the framework of the continuous efforts to present healthcare services to the citizens, including internal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, surgery, ENT, ophthalmology, orthopedics, dentistry, family planning, lab testing, X-rays, ultrasounds, chronic disease screenings, women’s health, free medications through an on-site pharmacy.

Governor Azer asserted that this initiative helps integrate rural women into the economy, aligning with national goals of social justice, empowerment and human capital development.

Madbouli praised the services offered in Zawyet Saqr and urged rapid activation of all completed projects, reinforcing the government’s commitment to improved rural quality of life, efficient project delivery and inclusive economic participation.
