The National Company for General Contracting and Supplies, affiliated with the National Service Projects Organisation, participated on Wednesday with a distinguished pavilion in the “Watrex Expo 2025″—an international exhibition and conference dedicated to water infrastructure technologies, wastewater systems, and modern irrigation methods.
The step came as part of the Armed Forces’ commitment to enhancing Egypt’s role in water resource development and maximising the utilisation of available capabilities.
The event, which ended yesterday at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre, brought together numerous national institutions, research bodies, private sector representatives, and leading companies operating in the field.
The company showcased its pivotal role in water resource development through offering its wide-ranging activities carried out in co-operation with various ministries, the National Water Research Centre, the Desert Research Centre, and several pioneering companies.
The pavilion included models of major national projects executed by the company, such as the South Valley (Toshka) Project, the New Delta Development Project in Dabaa, flood risk mitigation projects, dam construction, groundwater utilisation, and canal lining, all aimed at collecting and managing water resources to reclaim desert lands and expand agricultural acreage.
The company also highlighted its contribution to localising modern technologies in current and future projects.
Throughout the exhibition, the National Company for General Contracting and Supplies organised a series of activities, including seminars, scientific sessions, and expert panels. These were led by top professors, experts, and consultants to discuss Egypt’s strategic vision for tackling water challenges and to present the extensive efforts being made to ensure the sustainability and preservation of water resources.
