The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced that remittances from Egyptians abroad increased by 72.4% ($13.7 billion) to hit a record of $32.6 billion during the period from March 2024 to February 2025.
In a statement released on Monday, the bank said remittance inflows in February 2025 rose more than double for the 12th consecutive month to reach $3 billion, compared to $1.3 billion in February 2024.
