CAIRO – The German Embassy in Cairo has congratulated Egyptian researcher Sara Hegy Ali for winning Richtzenhain Doctoral Prize.

The German prize is awarded for outstanding dissertations in the field of cancer research.

In a statement on its Facebook page Tuesday, the Embassy extended congratulations to Ali for winning the prize.

Ali joined the German University in Cairo and then obtained a masters degree and a PhD from the University of Heidelberg.
