RIYADH – Syrian President Ahmed Al Shara said Syria is an integral part of Arab national fabric especially Egypt and lauded meetings he held with a number of leaders on the sidelines of the Extraordinary Arab Summit in Cairo.
In statements to Al Arabiya Al Hadath News Channel Wednesday, the Syrian president said, Syria is now on its natural place among its sisterly Arab countries, asserting that the Israeli aggression against Syria is an attempt to allegedly exploit the fall of the regime under false pretexts to expand conflict in the region.The Syrian president said – in the speech he delivered Tuesday during the Extraordinary Arab Summit in Cairo – that the call for the forced displacement of Palestinians is a disgrace against all norms of humanity and rather an attempt to reproduce a new tragedy that would further exacerbate Palestinians’ suffering.
