Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi arrived in Madrid yesterday starting an official visit to the Kingdom of Spain.
The visit comes as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and co-operation between the two countries.
President Sisi is scheduled to meet King of Spain Felipe VI, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, and representatives of major Spanish companies. He will also participate in an economic event with the Spanish business community and companies, said the Presidency Spokesman Mohamed El-Shennawy said.
He added that the visit will also include the signing of an agreement to elevate relations between Egypt and Spain to the level of a strategic partnership, in addition to several memorandums of understanding in various fields of co-operation.
