Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty on Thursday and Bahrain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani affirmed the necessity of beginning the early recovery programs and reconstruction projects in the Gaza Strip, without evacuation of the residents.

Abdelatty and Alzayani underscored the importance of reaching a permanent and just political solution to the Palestinians cause through adopting the two-state solution aimed at establishing an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4th, 1967, with East Jerusalem (Al Quds) as its capital.

This came during a meeting between the two top diplomats. Abdelatty is currently in Paris to take part in the ministerial meeting on Syria.

Abdelatty commended the strong brotherly ties between Egypt and Bahrain, emphasizing the importance of upholding joint efforts to elevate the distinguished level of cooperation between the two sisterly countries and expand it to broader horizons in all fields.

He expressed keenness on coordination and cooperation on files of mutual interest.

Meanwhile, the two sides reviewed regional developments, topped by the developments in the Gaza Strip and the ongoing arrangements for the emergency Arab summit, slate for February 27 in Cairo.

They also reviewed Egypt’s efforts to ensure the durability of the Gaza ceasefire agreement and the implementation of all its terms in the three phases.
