Defence minister inspects Red Sea Naval Base 1 - Egyptian Gazette

‎‏The Armed Forces Commander-General and Minister of Defence and Military Production, Gen. Abdel Maguid Saqr, conducted an inspection of the Red Sea Naval Base on Monday.
‎‏Accompanying him were Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, commanders of the main branches and a number of senior officers. The visit was part of a series of field inspections aimed at evaluating the Armed Forces’ combat readiness and operational preparedness.
‎‏During the visit, Minister Saqr was briefed on the base’s missions and then watched a number of training activities that demonstrated the Navy personnel’s high combat efficiency and readiness.
‎‏Minister Saqr inspected some naval units to assess their operational readiness and discussed with specialised teams the techniques of carrying out their tasks and their capability to handle the modern combat systems recently introduced into the Navy.
‎‏The defence minister also met a number of Navy personnel and conveyed to them the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. He reaffirmed the Armed Forces’ dedication to consolidating the Navy’s combat capabilities in line with up-to-date systems, ensuring their ability to defend Egypt’s shores, territorial waters, and address maritime threats across all strategic directions.
‎‏Minister Saqr urged the Navy personnel to maintain peak efficiency and combat readiness to carry out assigned missions under all circumstances. He emphasised that the Armed Forces, with its high combat capabilities and combatants, are capable of safeguarding the homeland amid the flurry of challenges now facing the region.
