Riyadh – A high-level delegation from Saudi Arabia, led by His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, is set to participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2025 in Davos, Switzerland. The prestigious event, scheduled to take place from January 20–24, will convene global leaders under the theme, “Collaboration for the Intelligent Age.”

The 55th WEF Annual Meeting comes at a critical juncture, marked by escalating geopolitical tensions, sluggish global economic growth, and the transformative impact of advanced technologies on labor markets. Discussions will also focus on the urgent need for inclusive and sustainable energy transitions.

Saudi Arabia’s delegation will engage with leaders from governments, the private sector, academia, and civil society to address these pressing challenges and work toward shaping a more prosperous and sustainable future. The delegation aims to highlight Saudi Arabia’s ongoing transformation under the ambitious Vision 2030 program, which seeks to build a resilient, innovative, and globally integrated economy.

  • His Excellency Abdullah A. Alswaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology
  • His Excellency Bandar I. Alkhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources

The Ministry of Economy and Planning (MEP) continues to lead Saudi Arabia’s partnership with the World Economic Forum. Over the years, the MEP has spearheaded impactful initiatives addressing global challenges and fostering international collaboration.

The 2025 WEF Annual Meeting will bring together representatives from over 100 governments, major international organizations, more than 1,000 leading private-sector entities, young changemakers, and members of civil society and academia. The forum remains a vital platform for driving collective action in addressing global issues and seizing opportunities in a rapidly evolving world.

This participation underscores Saudi Arabia’s role as a key player in shaping the global agenda and driving progress on critical issues affecting the international community.
