President Abdel Fattah El Sisi reiterated yesterday the need to intensify government efforts to implement sound governance of resources and assets in the ongoing housing projects, aligning with international best practices.

He also highlighted the importance of ensuring that the state-implemented projects are proceeding in tandem with the national strategy for economic development and the government efforts to attract foreign investments.

President Sisi remarks came during his meeting yesterday with Prime Minister Dr Moustafa Madbouli, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Sherif el-Sherbiny, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan el-Khatib, Presidential Advisor for Urban Planning Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, Chairman of the New Administrative Capital Company Khaled Abbas, and Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Major General Ahmed al-Azazy, Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Mohamed al-Shenawy said.

He added that the meeting reviewed the progress of several projects being implemented by the Ministry of Housing, as well as under the urban investment development plans.

The President was also briefed on the construction of facilities in the New Administrative Capital (NAC), which adhere to the highest international standards for smart city management, Shenawy said.

He noted that the discussion covered the activities of the NAC Company in areas of investment, development, and marketing, alongside efforts to manage and operate the Central Business District.

During the meeting, the president further instructed that executive works in the Central Business District be reviewed periodically in collaboration with implementing companies, as per the detailed and specific timeframes, Shenawy said.

The president also underscored the importance of adhering to the highest quality standards and integrating the latest technologies, with continuous follow-up to ensure smooth operations, Shenawy concluded.
