CAIRO – Egypt’s Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation El Sayed el Quseir said Friday that there are instructions from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to provide a full support to African countries.
El Quseir’s comments came during his meeting with a visiting delegation from the Nigerian agricultural institutes and universities, during their visit to the Agriculture Research Center.
During the meeting, the minister briefed them on the achievements seen in the Egyptian agricultural field, highlighting that the African continent enjoy a bonanza of natural resources, which should be carefully exploited for the sake of the peoples.
He reiterated Egypt’s readiness to cooperate with Nigeria in building up capabilities, training, exchanging expertise, and agricultural researches on raising livestock, poultry, and fisheries along with the vet services, vaccines, modern irrigation methods, enhancing breeds and others.
For his side, the head of the Nigerian delegation expressed his pleasure over visiting Egypt and praised the advancement and progress in the Egyptian Agriculture Research Center.
