CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty Sunday voiced Egypt’s support to efforts of Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for the Dialogue Between Cultures and its role in promoting the principals of tolerance, coexistence and moderation in the region.
Abdelatty commended the foundation’s role in implementing its mandate and respecting the cultures of Mediterranean countries, in line with the principle of respecting and accepting the other.
The foreign minister, during a phone call he received Sunday President of the Anna Lindh Foundation Rym Ali, praised the Foundation’s co-operation with other regional organisations, in the particular the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM).
He expressed appreciation for naming Alexandria as the Capital of Culture and Dialogue for the year 2025 for the Southern Mediterranean countries.
Alexandria is the host city of the headquarters of the Anna Lindh Foundation.
Abdelatty hailed importance attached by the Foundation to the domain of artificial intelligence, noting that Egypt gives a top priority to this vital field and is looking forward to strengthening co-operation between the Foundation and the other relevant technical authorities.
