Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani lauded Egypt’s important and pioneering role in the international and regional surroundings in light of the latest developments witnessed in the region.
He asserted the importance of Egyptian-Qatari cooperation to face the current regional developments.
This came during the reception of Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli by the Qatari emir on the sidelines of his participation in 22nd Doha Forum on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi hosted in Doha on December 7-8.
Cabinet Spokesman for Mohamed el Homosani said that the Qatari emir asserted his keenness on opening non-stop permanent communication channels with Egypt.
The Qatari emir pointed out to his meeting with President Sisi on the sidelines of Rio de Janeiro summit in Brazil where they discussed a number of files of mutual interest especially boosting cooperation in light of the incidents taking place in the region, Homosani said.
Meanwhile, Madbouli asserted the desire of President Sisi to promote aspects of cooperation and coordination between Egypt and Qatar and build on the quantum leap that took place in the Egyptian-Qatari ties recently in the fields of economy, politics and investments.
