CAIRO – The Cabinet’s media center has dismissed as baseless news about a temporary exhibition the Tourism Ministry intends to hold in Tokyo to display King Tut’s treasures.
The center, in a statement Tuesday, said it had contacted the Tourism Ministry, which denied the news. King Tut’s treasures will remain inside Egypt, the Ministry assured, noting that the whole collection will be niched at the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) soon.
The center urged all media outlets to verify information from bodies concerned so as not to circulate false information and confuse public opinion.
